My official financial award letter came today. All tuition and books will be covered with the loan I received. And, as I told them, most extra money from the loans are going to be used to pay off outstanding debt from my undergrad. I can change this any time, say, if we needed to fix something for the house, or I have a large bill to fix something on my car. I am going to have $100 given to me, though, for “just in case.”
I also ordered my books for the first half of fall semester. The books I need for the second half of my fall semester will be available two weeks before that session starts.
I am, to put it mildly, thrilled to be going back to school. AND, when I registered they asked about anything that could hinder finishing a course so it’s noted and I would still be able to finish a course after it ended. I told them about my mental illness, and for the time being I’m doing white well. They reassured me that they always have students with mental illnesses, and they even contact our doctors if a situation arises. I can’t even begin to tell you how relieved I was when I heard that, since that was the only worry about this.
I start next Monday, the 28th. My books will be here by then, and it’s an online school, which means I could’ve gotten them all online, but I wanted a physical copy to write notes and highlight things… and to have a quick reference instead of having to login to 3 sites and then try to find what I was looking for. They will all stay with me even after I finish my degree.
I have a… different kind of post for tomorrow. Not that much lol.
